“I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till i drop. This is the night, what it does to you. I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.”
-Jack Kerouac

“My fault, my failure, is not in the passions I have, but in my lack of control of them.”
-Jack Kerouac

“It is not my fault that certain so-called bohemian elements have found in my writings something to hang their peculiar beatnik theories on.”

I am going to a party tonight and honestly, because New York is in this world's-most-annoying Spring But Not Spring weather phase - I truly can't be bothered to wear anything anywhere except a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Which is actually typical of the entire year for me, but I feel like right now it's EXTRA TRUE.

I mean I really do want to embrace the 80s prom dress look but seriously, who can be bothered when there's so many fabs t-shirts?

Posting my fave cazh-awesome looks from some models and celebs.

I think this model - I forget which one this is - got some extra yardage and bling from Dries Spring show (which was the best ever of all time) to make a head wrap. Dope. Photo is from Face Hunter.

One of the best things about WGSN is that you can go window shopping around the world without leaving your desk (and your bag of Tostitos). Since the stupid economy is sucking my work is not sending me shopping to fabulous places right now, so I'm forced to make do with WGSN. Here are my fave looks for spring from London, Paris, and Berlin.

A little amazingness from the pages of April British Vogue, which was a volume of WONDER. Shoutout!!!!

Topshop opens its first US store in SoHo in April. That's like in two weeks. The store is about three blocks from my office. Broadway and Broome. I am in sooooooo much trouble. There is NO STORE IN THE WORLD BETTER THAN TOPSHOP. I say this with some certainty because my job sends me shopping around the world. And Topshop is like freaking Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory For Fashion. Seriously I want to break out into SONG when I walk in there. I get an adrenaline rush. I hope my landlords will accept a perfumed note explaining that Topshop just opened near my office, in lieu of April rent. I'm sure they'll understand they're lovely people.

I should take pictures of the grand opening - this is gonna be like when Primark opened on Oxford Street and someone got STABBED lol. Sorry I guess that's not funny... but it sort of is.

Born with the moon in cancer
Choose her a name she will answer to
Call her green and the winters cannot fade her
Call her green for the children who've made her
Little green, be a gypsy dancer
He went to california
Hearing that everything's warmer there
So you write him a letter and say, her eyes are blue.
He sends you a poem and shes lost to you
Little green, he's a non-conformer
Just a little green
Like the color when the spring is born
There'll be crocuses to bring to school tomorrow
Just a little green
Like the nights when the northern lights perform
Therell be icicles and birthday clothes
And sometimes there'll be sorrow
Child with a child pretending
Weary of lies you are sending home
So you sign all the papers in the family name
You're sad and youre sorry, but you're not ashamed
Little green, have a happy ending

Tracy Reese:

I love street style blogs.

Here are the best street style sites. I aped these images from all of these but can't remember which is which so... sorry. If my blog is cool enough for anyone to even care I'll happily take them down. Here are the sites:

Face Hunter
Garance Dore
Copenhagen Street Style
The Style Scout

One time Yvan from Face Hunter stopped me to take my picture. And I recognized him and was like "oh my GOD you're the FACE HUNTER i LOVE you" and I think I probably tried to hug him American-style and he was all like, "um nice to meet you can I just take your picture." Embarrassing. Next time we meet I'll be very French about it.

Here are my current fave street style pics.
