WWMW - PART TWO (MICHELLE OBAMA COLLECTIBLE!!!!)

Ladies get your bidding fingers ready!!! I have just been notified of a way to get your own little piece of the Obamas' awesome fashion history. Here's the headline and link:

"First Lady's Inaugural Outfit Look-a-like Discovered in Manhattan Boutique"

Imagine being able to someday give your daughter a look-a-like Michelle outfit. I'm romanticizing the moment so much in my head that I might be the big winner. I don't have a daughter of course. But that is a detail. I dare you to outbid me.

Hurry, hurry!

DETROIT SUCKS

I feel like I'll never stop loving graphic tees. Is there some sort of age cutoff? I hope not. I'd like to just perpetually keep dressing like I'm 15.

808s AND HEARTBREAK

This post is dedicated to the coolest album of right now - Kanye's 808s and Heartbreak.

It's sooooooo for real. It's sad but that's what I like about it.

They won't let me embed the Heartless video from YouTube.

I love Kanye. I mean look at that vest. I think he's one of the greatest artists around.

Does anyone know if he sampled the Great Expectations soundtrack in RoboCop?

Also this is his living room:

LOOKIN FOR SOME HOT STUFF BABY THIS EVENIN

I think I'm pretty consistent with my aesthetic this spring... it's working out to be swirly street-art pop chic. That's what I just came up with.

Check it.

Whew! That was deep. Don't worry I'll be back to blogging about like, jeweled flip-flops soon.

ANOTHER PIC OF CHRIS MATTHEWS WITH HEARTS DRAWN ON IT

What I'm doing on a Sunday:

1. Rocking out with Sue Rock (Sue Rock Originals) for some Obama-inspired community service
2. Finding pictures of Chris Matthews and drawing hearts on them in Photoshop (see postscript below)
3. Listening obsessively to Icky Thump (White Stripes) and Circus (Britney Spears) albums

You know you love me xoxo.

P.S. Dear Kathleen Matthews,

I want to just state for the record that I in no way have like a for-real crush on your husband. I think there's nothing grosser than people internet-stalking famous people and declaring their love for them online. Especially because these people are married or involved and it's like, ew! I'm sure you are like amazing and that you guys are awesomely happy. My heart-drawing on your husband's pictures is just because I'm kind of obsessed with the way that he totally broke the tough-guy act when Obama rolled around, and now he's like, hilariously funny in a gruff sort of way. I can't get enough of watching him on MSNBC. So I am not really stalking him I'm just declaring a sort of teddy bear love for him. I just wanted to get that on the record. xoxo

BLACK GLOSSY PAINT IS THE BEST EVER

Check out the bed redo I pulled! It was as easy as two coats of glossy black paint.

What better way to spend your hard-earned tax returns than to blow it all on trendy items from England that you'll hate in six months??? (hi Mom!!)

And so we turn to our friends at ASOS, the coolest website ever for trendy trendy sh*t. Or you could just light your cash on fire.

THINGS THAT ARE AWESOME

Here are my fave images right now. I'm loving slightly muted colors with the contrast of bold, non-muted images. I think that is just the coolest.
